Staying home in the summer? For some people, summer vacation doesn't mean going to the beach, sun, or faraway travel, but rather work, caring for others, or endless hanging out in their own neighborhood. This is also the case in The Florida Project, in which six-year-old Moonee spends her summer in the shadow of Disney World, but uses her imagination to turn every day into an adventure in a pastel-pink motel “castle.” While children play and get up to mischief, that carefree look clashes increasingly hard with the vulnerable reality of their parents.
Film theatre Flora and Nest are joining forces for this special screening of The Florida Project, coinciding with the exhibition Out of Office (Still Here) at Nest. A perfect match, therefore, with this film. At the Flora box office, you can purchase a ticket for the film for €3.50, which also grants you free entry to the exhibition through August 16.
Here you can find all events, exhibitions, talks, workshops and performances that Nest organises.
