The Façade: a new publication about the traces of the colonial history of Dutch-Brazil.


This publication, created by researcher Carolina Monteiro and artist Rafael Roncato, the publication brings together carefully selected archival materials, paintings, contemporary photography, essays and viewpoints on Dutch-Brazil. The Façade is the second part of the project Behind the Façade. This two-part project initiated by art space Nest and artist Babak Fakhamzadeh, explores the colonial history of Dutch Brazil and its traces in both Brazil and the Netherlands.
