Stadstekenaar: The Hague Mutant

Posted:

Every month, The Hague’s second City Illustrator Kexin Hao publishes a drawing about the city, from the perspective of local animals. About this drawing, Kexin Hao wrote:

As the city drawer, I want young public to participate in the Stadstekenaar project by inviting them to draw together, and engage with the medium of drawing in an more embodied and collaborative way. On September 17th, I gave a drawing workshop for children at the Central Library The Hague. First we created yoga poses based on different chimeras.Together, we made a three and half meter long chimera, with every child drawing a body part of a city animal that connects to the others. We named it "The Hague Mutant”: a fantasy creature that can digest all the waste in the city.
